What do you enter?

Purchase price

Use the price in the advert or quotation. Check whether VAT is included. If the basis is unclear, ask first so you do not compare VAT-inclusive and VAT-exclusive amounts.

Down payment

This is the cash you contribute at the start. It reduces the amount financed. Keep cash available for tax, maintenance and other bills too.

Term

This is the number of months the finance runs for. Choose a period that fits how long you expect to use the vehicle.

Final payment

This part is not repaid through the regular monthly instalments. It remains due at the end and is not a guaranteed vehicle value.

How do you compare two calculations?

Change one input at a time. Start with the same vehicle and term but a different down payment. Then compare a different final payment. This shows which choice changes the monthly amount.

Look beyond the monthly figure too. A larger down payment needs more cash now. A longer term extends your commitment. A higher final payment leaves more principal to settle at the end.

What is separate from the monthly payment?

The final payment remains due at the end. Selling or trading in does not automatically cover it. If the proceeds are below the outstanding amount, you must cover the difference.

Insurance, maintenance, repairs, vehicle tax, parking and fuel or charging are normally separate. The estimated monthly payment is not your complete vehicle budget.

How do you discuss the result?

  1. Keep the four input values

Share the purchase price, down payment, term and final payment.

  2. Include the vehicle

An advert or quotation makes the conversation concrete.

  3. Discuss the next step

We help prepare the application. The financier assesses the vehicle, business and complete structure.

Frequently asked questions

Is the calculated amount final?

No. It is an indication for comparing scenarios and not a binding offer.

Is the lowest monthly payment always best?

No. Also consider the term, cash contribution, useful life and the amount outstanding at the end.

Can I enter a used vehicle?

Yes. Use the quoted price. The financier will later assess the vehicle details and seller as well.
