When can a dealer involve Capital Lease?
View the checklist
- A business customer wants to use financial lease
- The customer needs help understanding down payment, term or final payment
- Information required for the finance request is missing from the quotation
- A start-up or business without complete annual accounts wants to know what current information may be relevant
- The customer is deciding between a specific vehicle and a different budget or type
- The dealer wants a clear contact for communication about the finance process
What helps with the first conversation?
Start with the advert or quotation and the customer's question. Include the purchase price, VAT or margin status, mileage and registration. List trade-in, bodywork and accessories separately.
Share the customer's contact details only after agreeing with them that we may get in touch. Do not send identity documents or financial records at this stage. We first discuss what is required and how it should be provided.
How a customer request progresses
Introduction
The customer or dealer shares the quotation and contact details. Obtain consent before forwarding customer personal data.
Contact with the entrepreneur
Capital Lease discusses the intended use, business situation, requested structure and information that may be required.
Assessment by the financier
The financier assesses the customer, business, vehicle and transaction. Capital Lease guides communication but cannot guarantee approval.
When can you arrange delivery?
An estimated payment or encouraging first response is not final finance approval. Check whether the agreement is signed, which conditions remain and how payment will take place. Coordinate before releasing the vehicle.
The sale, technical condition and warranty remain matters agreed between your dealership and the customer. Our finance support does not replace an inspection.

| Topic | Dealer | Capital Lease | Financier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vehicle and sale information | Provides correct vehicle and transaction details | Checks whether information appears complete enough for the request | Assesses vehicle and transaction under its conditions |
| Vehicle advice | Advises on vehicle, technical condition and purchase | Discusses finance structure and process | Sets credit terms |
| Technical condition | Responsible under purchase and warranty arrangements | Does not perform a technical inspection | Does not replace seller warranty |
| Credit decision | No role | Guides and brokers | Decides and issues agreement |
| Payment and delivery | Confirms receipt and delivers under agreement | Coordinates progress | Pays under the final agreement and conditions |
Working together on a recurring basis
A cooperation does not need to start with a technical platform. First agree:
- Who introduces the customer
- Consent and handling of personal data
- Standard quotation information
- Who updates the customer
- When a vehicle is reserved
- When delivery may take place
- How price or vehicle changes are communicated
Frequently asked questions from dealers
Can I refer a customer directly?
Yes. Share the contact route or make an introduction with the customer’s consent. Do not forward sensitive financial information without permission and a secure process.
Can the vehicle be delivered before finance is complete?
Delivery should only take place once payment and final conditions are demonstrably complete under the arrangements with the customer and financier.
Does Capital Lease assess technical condition?
No. The dealer and buyer remain responsible for vehicle information, inspection, warranty and purchase terms. An independent inspection may be sensible.
Can used cars and commercial vehicles be discussed?
Yes. The financier assesses each vehicle and application. Complete quotation and vehicle data are particularly important for used or converted vehicles.
Is there a fixed approval or turnaround time?
No. Timing and outcome depend on the completeness of the information, financier, customer and vehicle. Capital Lease focuses on clear communication and a sufficiently complete file.
Discuss a customer or working together
Send the vehicle details and a short explanation of the customer's position. We can agree who will make contact and which information is still needed.
