What do you arrange, and how do we help?

You choose the vehicle and agree the purchase with the seller. Still looking? Tell us how you will use it and what you can spend.

We discuss the purchase price, down payment and term. We also look at whether a final payment fits your plans. This is the amount left to pay at the end. We prepare the application with you and coordinate with the lender and dealer.

Approval may still depend on a signed agreement and additional conditions. Confirm the payment and delivery arrangements before proceeding. An encouraging first response is not final approval.

Which choices do you make first?

Purchase price and down payment

Check the price and VAT treatment on the quotation. A down payment reduces the amount financed. Keep enough cash for tax, regular bills and unexpected expenses.

Term

Choose a period that fits how long you intend to use the vehicle. A longer term can lower the monthly payment, but interest runs for longer. A lower monthly figure does not necessarily mean a lower overall cost.

Final payment

A final payment, also called a balloon payment, leaves part of the principal outstanding until the end. It is not a discount or a guaranteed trade-in value. Decide how you intend to pay it.

Who owns the vehicle, and which costs are separate?

With financial lease, your business normally becomes the economic owner. The vehicle and finance liability are then recorded on the business balance sheet. The lender usually retains legal title or another security right until the agreement has been fulfilled. Check your contract.

The monthly payment normally includes principal and interest. Insurance, maintenance, repairs, vehicle tax and fuel or charging are usually separate. A mechanical problem does not in itself end your payment obligation.

Planning to sell or trade in early? Obtain consent where required and ask for the settlement amount in writing. Selling the vehicle does not remove the finance liability.

Does business leasing always mean financial lease?

View the comparison

No. Financial lease finances a purchase. Operational lease generally gives you use of a vehicle that you return at the end. Included services depend on the agreement.

Do not compare monthly figures alone. Check ownership, maintenance, mileage conditions and what you must pay or return at the end.

Questions before applying

Can I choose a used vehicle?

Possibly. The lender considers the vehicle, seller, value and proposed term. Read our used business vehicle checks before making commitments.

Are the full monthly payments tax-deductible?

Not automatically. Repaying principal is different from a business expense. Interest, depreciation, VAT and private use each have their own tax treatment. Ask your accountant how they apply to your business in the Netherlands.

Can I apply without a down payment?

This depends on the vehicle, your business and the lender's assessment. Do not assume the full purchase price can be financed until this has been confirmed.
